Negotiations between Manchester United and Tottenham for the latter's midfielder have stalled in the summer transfer window.
According to Catalan newspaper Sport, United wanted to sign Danish striker Christian Eriksen, but the player wants to move to Real Madrid.
Eriksen has a one-year contract with Tottenham and can leave for free next summer if he does not renew his contract.
The transfer window is supposed to close in England within a few hours, but for the sale of players, English clubs can sell their players to any club outside England, until the door is closed in Europe.
However, the lack of a replacement for Eriksen in the next few hours will prevent Tottenham from selling the player in the summer transfer window.
